David Orr Endorses Hanley
Evanston, IL – Today, David Orr, former Cook County Clerk, Alderman, and Director of Good Government Illinois, and, famously, Mayor of Chicago, endorsed Patrick Hanley for the Illinois State Senate.
“Patrick Hanley is a rising star and leader in the movement for better government in Illinois. Patrick has effectively advocated and organized for important reforms, like ranked choice voting or campaign finance reform, and I know he will continue our fight in Springfield.”
“The name “David Orr” is synonymous with good government. David’s endorsement means the world to me, first as a champion for integrity in government and progressive causes, but also as a former professor, board colleague at Reform for Illinois, and friend,” Hanley said.
Hanley has also been endorsed by U.S. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-9), State Senators Laura Murphy, Julie Morrison, Adriane Johnson, Rachel Ventura, and Mark Walker, the Illinois AFL-CIO, the Iron Workers District Council of Chicago & Vicinity, Ironworkers Local 1, the Evanston Firefighters Local 742, and over 40 local elected leaders across the district.
